As every year, our experts started the year 2019 with the CES Las Vegas and the NRF in NYC!
The CES, Consumer Electronics Show, is the trade fair dedicated to the world of new technologies and various electronic innovations. Over the years, the CES has become an important gathering This show is held in Las Vegas, where builders, journalists and fans of new technologies come together.
The NRF Retail’s BIG Show is the largest annual retail event in New York, bringing together more than 35,000 retail professionals and suppliers from 99 countries in the world. The convention includes 500 training sessions, nearly 300 speakers and more than 700 exhibitors.

March – CONFERENCE COMMERCE RELOADED
On March 21st, 2019, Echangeur offered you a new edition of the Commerce Reloaded conference on new retail practices and innovative startups.
During this unmissable event, the experts of the Echangeur have decoded the significant technological innovations 2018-2019 applied to retail and shared the lessons learned from trade shows such as Web Summit Lisbonne, Shoptalk Europe Copenhagen, CES Las Vegas, Retail’s Big Show New York and for the first time the SXSW festival.

March – LEX SXSW
In 2019, for the second time, Echangeur went to Austin, Texas, to participate in the must-attend South by South West Festival.
Beyond the cinematographic and musical aspects historically very present, #SXSW is the forward-looking meeting. From 8th to 17th March, SXSW showcased interactive and digital media and is a hub of inspiration through conferences led by celebrities such as Priscilla Chan or Brian Solis, on topics as broad as health, sports, food, social impact, VR & AR, startups and the new tech sector, design, computer programming or governments.

May – VIVATECH 2019
Viva Technology is the global event for major innovations and startups in France with the aim of creating connections between startups, large groups and investors. In 2018 Vivatech hosted more than 1,000 exhibiting startups, 23 sectoral labs and high-profile guest stars such as Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, Ginni Rometty, CEO of IBM et Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber.

June – LEX CES ASIA
The CES ASIA has become an unmissable event in the space of three years for all the technology players in the Asia-Pacific market, indeed because more than 97% of the participants are from it. It is Asia’s largest consumer technology show to connect with retailers, e-retailers, customers and partners in order to launch new products and solutions in the Asian market. An event allowing Echangeur to approach actors such as Huawei, JD.com, Alibaba or Baidu, and test the innovative concept stores of the Chinese megalopolis.

September -LEX IFA BERLIN
IFA berlin is the largest European trade show (160,000m2 & more than 1,800 exhibitors) dedicated to new technologies and the latest launches of innovative products was held from 6th to 11th September, 2019 in the Messe Exhibition Center of the German capital. A must-attend event for retailers, buyers and media experts.
In 2019, IFA Berlin also offered two other spaces in parallel with the main fair:
- IFA Global Markets, the biggest B2B sourcing platform in Europe. This space is opened from September 2nd until September 5th at STATION-Berlin.
- IFA NEXT, located in the hall 26, this innovation hub welcomes startups, research laboratories, universities and innovative companies. They present their ideas of the future and the solutions that they imagined in terms of home appliances and electronics. More than 160 startups will be part of it coming from more than 20 countries with a big focus on Japan who present his best startups and innovation.

November – WEB SUMMIT
The WebSummit, this international trade fair, with more than 170 countries represented, has become a must for all those who are passionate about the tech, digital and innovation ecosystem. This year, the “Davos of the Geeks” expected more than 70,000 visitors including start-ups, VCS, journalists and major Tech groups such asCoca-Cola, IBM, Facebook,Google…
From 4th to 7th November, 2019, WebSummit 2019 welcomed high-profile speakers such as Guo Ping, Chairman + Rotating CEO, Huawei, Brad Smith, President, Microsoft, Katherine Maher, CEO, Wikipedia and Hans Vestberg, Verizon.
In addition, Edward Snowden, the famous American NSA whistleblower, also addressed the audience live from Russia where he is exiled. Snowden revealed how he helped build the NSA surveillance system that collected millions of phone calls, text messages and emails from American citizens and why he chose to expose it in this way rather than follow protocol.
The WebSummit also offered more than 21 conferences and 30 keynotes to focus on the latest trends in innovation and technology.

November – PROSPECTIVE DAY
The Prospective Day is an event dedicated to the future of Consumer and Commercial Banking of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance Group, which took place at Unicity on Thursday 21 November. During this exceptional event, the key trends around 4 scenarios to refine strategies and develop the business, have been released.
General Management, Key Witnesses and Experts spoke to share their vision. General Management: Laurent David, Sally Guilbert, as well as BNP Paribas Personal Finance Exchange Experts: Cécile Gauffriau, Elisabeth Menant, Matthieu Jolly, Guillaume Rio, Nicolas Diacono and from the Cetelem Observatory: Flavien Neuvy or PF Impulse with Natacha Baumann, around a keynote speaker, the demographer and futurist Emmanuel Todd.
