The Condominium SuperApp in Singapore: iCondo
Following the trend of apps that do “everything”, the iCondo app has centralized all the functionalities necessary for a condo, a residential building whose common areas are co-owned, can offer all kinds of services to its residents, including retail services.
What is it ?
In Singapore, between 11 and 16% of the population live in a condominium, a building divided into several units that are each owned separately, with common areas that are condominiums. Common areas often include swimming pools, sports fields, gyms, rental rooms for various events, etc. The entrance to each condo is secure as are some residences in France or somewhere else.
ICondo creator Anthony Wu came up with the idea to create this app because he’s a member of his condo committee and also owns several apartments in Singapore. Immersed in this world, Anthony was looking for an easy way to elevate the residents’ experience in their condo without increasing the budget. This app is the perfect tool for its mission: it makes life easier, creates a community between neighbors and does not add additional costs for the management teams of the residences. Among the services offered, the app centralizes partner offers and a second-hand “neighborhood” marketplace.
Over 50,000 apartments in Singapore have access to and use iCondo in their condo. This represents 350,000 reservations per year, 5 million notifications per month and 10,000 feedbacks received per month.
This app works in Singapore because Asians are used to having this kind of “Super App.” The Grab and Wechat apps, considered great apps, are widely used by Singaporeans. Having a similar app but for your condo seems almost obvious.
Why use it?
1.Reserve a sports field, a table etc.
On the “booking” tab you can reserve the basketball court, the tennis court, the pavilion to prepare a dinner or even the rental room to celebrate a birthday. To reserve the rental room, for example, you must pay a deposit which will be refunded at the end of use. To put it simply, you pay the deposit through the app directly. In addition, you can view your reservation history.

2.Consult the notice board
iCondo modernized the concept of a “bulletin board” through three tabs on the app: announcements, events and important documents. If the condo is planning an event for Halloween or Christmas, the management will post an ad on this tab to notify residents. If you need to consult the condo rules or other administrative documents, they are also available to you.

3.Fill out forms
If you lose your access card, or move or want to do some renovations, instead of having to call management and go through a complicated process, iCondo offers you a much easier way to do it. Just click on the service you need, fill out a quick form, and you’ll be notified in the app when management approves your form.

4.Make payments
“MCST fees” are fees that owners must pay to the management of the condo. To facilitate this payment, iCondo offers you to pay these fees directly through the app. The system even offers rewards after a certain time.

5.Keep up to date with condo properties
In the “property” part of the app, you have access to information on the loans you can take to buy an apartment in a condo. In addition, the system shows all the transactions that have been made in chronological order: purchases and rentals (the exact apartment number is not shown for reasons of personal data). Finally, the last tab is that of “news” which offers various articles published in local newspapers or magazines that talk about the condo itself, condos in Singapore, etc.

6.Chat with your neighbors
The “neighbors” part is surely one of the most used functions among the inhabitants of the condo. You can post messages on a forum accessible and visible to all. You can also sell (or rent) what you no longer need. It is a marketplace accessible only by residents of the same condo. Many sell second hand items for an extremely low price. The last tab allows you to find a friend to do an activity with; for example, many are looking for partners to play tennis or basketball with.

7.Access various condo partners
One feature that makes life easier is “useful contacts”. Are you looking for a cleaning lady? Want to try a yoga class? Through the contact tab, iCondo offers great deals through partnerships.

8.Be aware of the arrival of visitors
This feature makes you feel safe: as soon as you have a visitor, the app alerts you directly to their arrival in the condo. It is also possible to fill in the details of a visitor that you expect, so that they waste less time at the entrance of the condo. You can also view visitor history in the last tab.

9.Call emergency contacts
The last feature is also related to security. By pressing the phone icon in the main menu, you can call the police, fire department, an ambulance, various helplines or management.
